2018/19 Officers and Other Ranks Pay Rates

I see the absolute travesty of the nurses pay spine still exists.

Ouch. A friend of mine got her nursing qualification in 2012 and is now a grade 8 independent nurse prescriber.

Going by that pay scale, I'm assuming she's earning much more than she would if she had joined the army six years ago as a newly qualified nurse.

Band 8 pay starts at 40 K + in Civvy street, I think its a crime that the nurses get any extra pay at all in the military, Maybe its to make up for all of the time that they are trapped on busses going to and from parties.

It reflects the responsibility nurse have to protect you from the Medical Officers.

Besides, everyone in the AMS knows that the Grey Mafia really runs it. We weren't going to let the Docs, vets and dentists get away with getting a special pay scale and not get one ourselves.

You are not wrong there, the exponentially growing number of staff posts that magically have QA PiD is boggling. I'm glad I'm out.

really i'm mostly jealous that the QA'a have a pay spine and AHP's dont

True, and the reasons quoted for the "special" pay for doctors and dentists, and then nurses (Specialist training, retention etc.) mostly also apply to the other AHPs. I guess we had a CEG big enough across the three services to get it done.

I'm going blind i think.
The stepson is toying with the idea of joining the TA.
Whats the daily rate of pay for a sprog. I can't see it.

So, if memory serves me right... if... A Major's pay has more than doubled whilst the enlisted ranks' pay has not over the last 20 years. Nice for some.
It is, but bear in mind that a top whack WO1 is on £126.39 a day... And, as a top whack OR-4, you would be on £87.97 a day.
