From 7-62.com, sponsors of the Lamp and Sandbag, we have these silver block cufflinks, quote: "engraved any way the winner likes. Could be for example Rifles on the front RGJ on the back, Ranks, names, dates. Can even put units or tours of duty round the edges. Come to think of it, the ARRSE potato head could also go on the back. Anything goes."

From Spanish Dave, a week in a very impressive Spanish Villa:

http://www.la-torre-rental.co.uk/

"We have a brand new luxurious 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom ground floor apartment on La Torre Golf Resort near Murcia. The apartment itself is a ground floor plot and has a lounge and separate kitchen and one bathroom with fitted shower, which is finished in outstanding marble. The apartment also has a terrace with BBQ and garden furniture as well as garden space. The apartment also has excellent access for disabled. There is a very large community pool with toddlers splash pool and jacuzzi directly in front of the apartment set amongst landscaped gardens. You look through the pool onto the fantastic Jack Nicklaus golf course. We also have a broadband connection available in the apartment and telephone."

Dave reckons if the winning bid isn't more than £450 then you're tight!

And the most unusual yet....... a currently unspecified tie from Channel 4 presenter Jon Snow, who previously hit the ARRSE headlines for objections to Nov 11th poppies. A photo of the tie is hopefully on the way - watch this space.

Thank you Jon and thanks too for ABrighter2006 for inviting Jon to support the auction in this way.

I will start the auction at some point today after setting up threads for each item. Meanwhile, two superb lots from artist and photographer Nicholas Pringle, http://www.nickpringle.co.uk/ , who also donated to last years auction.

The first is Douglas Bader, the famous Spitfire pilot. The second a Spitfire in Flight. Sizes TBC. The prints will likely to be a 'Fine Art' standard. Giclee prints of Archive quality that are 'guaranteed to last at least 200 years'.

Just to get you in the mood:
