    [FONT=&quot] The Department of Defense announced today the deaths of two soldiers who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. [/FONT]
    [FONT=&quot] They died Oct. 1 in Paktika province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked their military vehicle with an improvised explosive device. They were assigned to the 1221st Engineer Clearance Company, Graniteville, S.C. [/FONT]

    [FONT=&quot] Staff Sgt. Willie J. Harley Jr., 48, of Aiken, S.C. [/FONT]
