2" mortar bomb

  1. Does anyone know what the "lifting" strap on the top of the 2" smoke mortar bomb is for ?

    I'm guessing that it was in case of a misfire that a hook of some kind could be used to lift the bomb out of the tube

    any help appreciated

  8. Never saw that "Lifting strap" the last time I fired 2" Smk. Its not shown on that digagram but theres a Safty Pin (On the HE Round) thats bound by a ribbon, and is a tw@t to get off.
