Why do you want to be a Pioneer?

If you want to do Combat Engineering - join the RE.
If you want to go Infanteering - join the Infantry.
If you want to do very little of the above but do gate guard a lot and pick up dead bodies - join the Pioneers.

IN REPLY TO THE ORIGINAL POST THERE ARE NO FORMAL SKILLS REQUIRED TO JOIN AND ANY TRAINING WILL BE GIVEN , LOTS OF THE GUYS HAVE GOT GOOD RELEVANT AND RECENT EXPERIENCE OF GOING ON OPS AND THE VAST MAJORITY HAVE DONE THIS WITH REGULAR UNITS RESULTING IN A LOT OF THE TRAINING THE TOMS GET MAKES IT NOT TO DIFFICULT FOR THEM TO 'GET UP TO SPEED' WITH THE REGS WHEN GETTING READY TO GO ON OP'S.
