A friend on a hobby board is after some gen,can anyone help him out (He's also ex-army)

"Just found out that my Uncle Billy served in the 12th Royal Lancers in Wulfenbuttel, in what was then West Germany in the late Fifties, as far as we can make out, about '57ish. At the time they were an armoured car Regiment, using Ferrets and Saracens with the odd Saladin thrown in for effect.

I'm looking for any references that show the AOS and formation signs as used on the Ferrets, hopefully the Mark 2/3, as I want to make the Accurate Armour kit up as one of his if possible.

Also, does anyone know if the No19 radio set was the norm then, or had it been replaced by the Larkspur range, as in the C42?"

With those dates I would suspect it was the 19 set, it seems a bit early for C42/B47 days.
