Revving the arrse off a hairdryer as if it were the start line at Brands Hatch not a quiet suburban street should do it. Obviously you'd need some kind of time control as well to make sure it only 'goes off' at 7am on a Sunday.

Was going to say I've used wet & dry as a road/airfield base before.Mate of mine does model cars.
He uses fine sandpaper as a base, and goes over it with one of those double ended hard erasers to give it a 'driven on' look.
