- Author
- David Murphy Illustrated by Graham Turner
- ARRSE Rating
- 5 Mushroom Heads
It's an Osprey book, so it does what it says on the tin, and does it well.
It follows the usual format with colour plates in the middle, sandwiched between text and black & white illustrations. It covers what is quite a long period of time, very well as you'd expect from Osprey. It covers virtually every aspect of the life of these men, with pen sketches of the more well known/infamous including Sir John Hawkeswood, arguably the most well known outside of Italy.
An excellent book for anybody interested in the period, with a useful Bibliography for those wanting to read further.
