The training is easy. It is really the basics of physical security and not challenging for any soldier with operational experience. There is some academics but it is just information that you will be given.Once you're accepted and you nominate a Platoon to go to, you will be given a report date. This will be by letter and your new Platoon Commander will get the same. You will normally spend one or two weeks with your new Platoon until your course starts. They should have an induction package geared towards getting you into the right mind set and showing you the job.Keep as many sets of PCS as you can because some units are struggling to get it, especially within AIR.
Where are you looking to be posted to?I recommend an AIR (RAF) unit.Although the RAF are dicks they love the MPGS and what they bring to the table. There are a lot of changes happening within the MPGS especially with units returning from Germany and Herrick finishing but changes don't impact on Platoons within AIR.
