The recently-published official history of 49 Para, That Pigs Might Fly is a magnum opus from the former Corporal-in-Chief of the regiment Sir John Walters. The work details the obscure origins of the regiment following the aftermath of the battle of Waterloo Station and takes the reader through nearly two centuries of defeat and shame right up to the present day.

A gripping read and worthy of any bookshelf. Also great for propping doors open. Available now from the Walton Press at £49.99. All proceeds go to the Regimental Association... probably.
