The Swiftsure class attack [[submarine]] was an evolutionary development of the [[Valiant/Churchill]] class; it incorporated new techniques of noise suppression in machinery, a more slippery shape, and a new homegrown reactor design. The two remaining in service will be replaced with [[Astute]] class subs if [[BAE]]/VSEL ever manage to finish them.
