A place of worship for followers of the Islamic faith. Mosques can vary in size from anything from a garden shed to something looking like the Trafford Centre. Planning was recently (and quite rightly) turned down for a proposed mosque near the new Wembley Stadium that would have held an astonishing 75,000 worshippers... under ONE ROOF!

And speaking of astonishing numbers, Bradford has over 10,000 registered places of worship - and we're not talking Catholic churches either. Oddly enough, registered places of worship are exempt Council tax - which goes some considerable way to explain why many of Bradford's inhabitants are driving around in Mercs.
