Something a child flies on a windy day - not near power lines though. It is a fabric or plastic sheet attached to a frame, when the wind catches it it lifts up and is controlled by either one or two strings, so they can be endless fun.


Can also be what a pilot calls his Aircraft "I say fitter chappie, is my kite ready to take on the beastly Hun?" These pilots usually have moustaches, butlers and monocles.
