On Feburary 5, 1958, in a typical example of spam clusterfuckery,a 7,600lb Mark. 15 nuclear bomb was lost in waters off Georgia, US after the B47 plane carrying it, collided with a F86 fast jet. See here [1]
On March 11, 1958 the USAF accidentally dropped a nuclear bomb on South Carolina and no-one noticed.
On July 11, British troops were deployed to Jordan in support of King Hussein.
