OK, holy thread bump
There is a reunion organised for this coming Friday, 8th June 12, rv at Christies @ 1900hrs for all who joined up in intakes 82B & C.
We have also a visit to the camp arranged for 1000 on the 9th, where the RSM will give us all a talk on the new college and a walk around the camp. Parking on camp is allowed. Those not able to make Friday evening, please pm me with the Make, Model, Colour and Reg of the vehicle. I was 78C at the time, as was Shaun Dandy and Geordie Quinlan.
Shaun was not involved with the toothbrush event. However Geordie Quinlan was, and he was quickly removed from the camp once the event came to light.
I remember geordie quite well, he was always quite effeminate, looking back you could see the fella was gay.
This happened in 1979, and here we are 33 years later it has entered the annals of history for AAC Harrogate and we are still discussing it, quite incredible.
For geordie I guess it entered the anals of history !!!
Shaun was exonerated very quickly, he had nothing to do with the event, and he went on to have an illistrious military, as well as a successful civilian career.
Geordie Quinlan, since he left the camp, I have no idea what happened to him. I hope he enjoyed life, he was a good guy after all.
