[edit] White Fleet
With the ever decreasing supply of proper military vehicles (or limitations on their use except in 'real' war), the Army has become increasingly dependent on White Fleet vehicles - lucky for those with shares in Hertz, Lex or any other popular vehicle rental company.
Five years ago, White Fleet was a couple of minibuses per unit, and so-called because the general colour (as with many rental vehicles) was white. In 2007, a unit may have many white fleet vans, minibuses, cars, etc.
Often the preferred method to travel if going long distance - UK to Germany - as it removes the inevitable sore arse created by the venerable Bedford.
