In a long and uneventful career in HM Forces of various colours he has managed not to go anywhere dangerous or particularly exciting. By way of compensation he did take quite an interest in all things NBC and can, even now, be found looking longingly at old NBC overboots loitering on shelves in the garage.

He is now in the tender care of the Abide-a-wee Rest Home for Knackered TA Majors also known as RARO. G3 finally hung up his boots in 2006 to spend more time with* his family.
