Located in Emsworth, Hampshire; Baker Barracks Thorney Island was originally an RAF station until closure in the late '70s. In the best traditions of the RAF it is now occupied by the Royal Artillery. As it's on the coast, it's great in the summer and there's a bouyant sailing scene. Chichester and Portsmouth are nearby & "The Island" is currently home to 12 Regt RA & 47 Regt RA.
