Both a stage show and a cult movie.

Think adult panto where most of the performers (male and female) are dressed in sussies, high heels and push up basques who camp/Lez it up in an extremely suspect manner. They also sing fairly naughty songs.

Disturbingly the audience dresses up in similar clothes and has a script of its own ... which is even ruder than the one being enacted on stage/screen.

Creater Richard O'Brien said he got the idea from seeing the Royal Marines after an exercise.
