The Last Tommy

A programme by the BBC interviewing some of the last British survivors of the First World War.
After this programme was shown, a thread in the Current Affairs Forum was started
leading to the suggestion that a memorial service or state funeral should be arranged when the last man standing passes on.
This idea is supported in parliament by former Guards Officer, Iain Duncan-Smith MP, leading a cross-party group.
A website now exists to further the campaign
