King's Royal Hussars

History

The King's Royal Hussars were formed in 1992 by an amalgamation of the Royal Hussars (Prince of Wales's Own), and 14th/20th King's Hussars with squadrons unofficially perpetuating predecessor regimental identities:

• A Squadron - The Twentieth Hussar Squadron
• B Squadron - The Fourteenth Hussar Squadron
• C Squadron - The Eleventh Hussar Squadron
• D Squadron - The Tenth Hussar Squadron

The KRH is a Challenger 2 equipped regiment.

Nicknames

Known as the 'Cherry Pickers' due to rather fetching red trousers.
