Large and impressive camp in Celle, home to 94 Loc Regt RA and latterly 14th Signal Regiment (Electronic Warfare).

Built in the 1870s to house 2. hannoversche Infanterieregiment Nr 77, formerly the 2nd Hannover Regiment, absorbed by the Prussian Army after the Kingdom of Hannover made a very poor team choice in the 1866 Austro-Prussian War.

Fine camp, huge red-brick accommodation block with space for 2500 troops under intimate circumstances. Top floor never used by either the RA or Royal Signals, hence massive infestation of bats, which led to squaddie invention of bat tennis.
