Why didnt we keep the .280 calibre just for this rifle?, We still could have took the 7.62 for Jimpy's/Sniper rifles but this round worked perfectly well for this rifle being a bullpup. It may have been slightly weaker than the 7.62NATO calibre but more powerful than the .30 combloc short. The Spams kept the .30 M1 carbines alongside the 7.62 M14 rifles so why didnt we do a similar move?.
