Just asking here, Was there ever plans for replacing 37 pattern gaiters with ones in similar layout made from 58 pattern/SAS bergen material instead of going back to Putees?
Or either:
- Stick with the 37 gaiters?
- Issue hi leg type boots earlier like most nations did after WW2
