Chobham might be bolted on, additional armour but bolted on additional armour is not always Chobham.
Aplique (there should be an acute accent over the 'e', but I can't be arsed to look through all the various windows keyboard menus to find it) is the usual term for bolted on, additional armour.
This definition is poor.
