Talk:14 Signal Regiment (Electronic Warfare)

It was interesting to see that at the formation of the Regiment in 1976, all of the sports clubs and extra curricula activities were run and managed by SNCO's. (With the exception of the angling club which was run by a L/Cpl who was jailed for messing up the accounts. The Paymaster at the time did a runner to Jersey with the Regimental funds and was only admonished and told to resign).

The formation of the Regimental Association went according to the usual plan, only officers need apply. Despite the offer by former ranks who were professionally qualified in computers, IT and web design, it was run by Officers and ended up a mess.

I now see that the Association is no longer available from the 14 Sigs web site.

No doubt other ranks were becoming interested in it. And we can’t have that, can we?

Well done, another SNAFU for the ruling elite.
