Now considered to be a derogatory term to describe those of Spanish descent, Spic's are often found in South America. Sometimes called 'Beaner's but this is more commonly reffered to border-hopping Mexicans.
Originally a contraction of Hispanic which in turn was derived from Hispania, the name given by the Romans to the Iberian Peninsula (modern Portugal, Spain, Andorra, and Gibraltar).
