Southwick Park

Southwick Park, formally HMS Dryad, is a country house a few miles north of Portsmouth. Used as the HQ for the D-Day invasions the original strategic planning map of the English Channel still hangs on the wall in the main house.

On its closure as a Naval establishment it was handed over to the RMP as a training establishment. It would have been kinder to raze it to the ground and plough the ground with salt.

Although, I'm told the golf course is quite nice.
