Okay early '90s drama on ITV about army life etc. Basically a rehash of the 1970s series Spearhead - but with Geordies.

The series focused on the usual army-related issues such as discipline, extra-marital affairs and covering Trumpton's arrse. It starred (amongst others) unknowns Robson Green and Jerome Flynn who walted around Bassingbourn big time as 'Kings Own Fusiliers'.

The series catapulted the duo to overnight success and resulted in several painful recording deals that are best forgotten. The series was in the end moderately good show about the army, but the only problem was the storyline - there was always a crisis. Shit, the series finale ended with an officer getting ostracized and the colonel of the regiment resigning in disgrace. This is not say that every squaddie lives a happy and simple life, but the series never fails to torture and demean every single character. Many characters leaving the show either die, are kicked out or arrested. Most characters on the show are the victims of rape, abuse, adultery, incompetence and small-time rivalries. Once again, it is fairly good but if you don't like lop sided endings and tortured squaddies, then don't get the torrent.
