Slang

Slang is the use of highly informal words and expressions that are not considered standard in the speaker's language.

• A particularly fine example is Army Slang which is incomprehensible to civvies.
• Another fine example is Foreign Legion Slang which is just as good.
• An especially poor example is jack speak used by our naval and marine brethren which is incomprehensible to all.
