Shock and Awe

A term used by the media, mainly the Spams for the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Over 700 aircraft flew sorties in one night over Baghdad and dozens of cruise missiles fell on the city in a matter of hours, wiping out infrastructure and other important buildings. The Shaved Chimp was hoping that Saddam would be sat on the top of a building, waving a little flag and waiting for his impending doom, but unluckily for ol' George, that was not the case.
