SS11

French-manufactured and steam operated Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM). Used by the Army Air Corps on their Scout helicopters (which mounted four) the SS11 was fired in anger during the Falklands War against enemy gun positions on Wireless Ridge. Replaced by the Lynx-mounted TOW system by the late 1980s.
