SOUP

A SOUP is a Single Officer Useless Purchase, usually bought in Germany or somewhere similarly replete with LOA and LSSA in vast quantities.

The 'single' component is essential, for without a significant other in the wings waiting to pounce on that rather swanky binary watch or fully functioning Stormtrooper outift, the sky is literally the limit.

To qualify as a 'SOUP', the item must have virtually no redeeming values other than the advancement of fun, and to act as a visible sign that the purchaser has money and sense in inverse and equal proportion.
