Royal Gurkha Rifles

The Royal Gurkha Rifles is a regiment of the British Army. It is unique in that it recruits Gurkhas from Nepal.

Following the government's announcement to restructure the Army, and with the handing back of Hong Kong to the Chinese in 1997 (necessitating the withdrawal of the military garrison), the size of the Brigade of Gurkhas had to be reduced. Prior to the change the regiments were:
