Rounds
From ARRSEpedia
Soldier speak for bullets and cartridges and extends to big artillery shells also. Used in the following constructions
- "Get some fecking rounds down you cnut!"
- "Rounds complete -where did they go?"
- "You will fire one round at each target, targets will fall when hit"
- "Count your rounds" (Now this is a good one, count backwards from 30 ;whilst running around and throwing yourself on the ground every fourth step. Normally you get to somewhere below ten and bottle it - AMMO!)
Two important numbers regarding Rounds and their firing:
Zero: John Reid MP said that he'd like to come away without a shot being fired during British Army Peacekeeping in Afghanistan.
400,000: Approximate number of rounds fired by the British Army during 6 months of 'peacekeeping' in Afghanistan.
