Regimental Medical Assistant

Now known as Regimental Combat Medical Technicians (RCMT). RCMTs are soldiers trained up to a level of competence that enables them to operate as first responders in action. Whilst they augment the Combat Medical Technicians (CMT) of the RAMC, RCMTs are usually infanteers and are therefore the first link in the chain of medical treatment on the front line.
