Regime Change
From ARRSEpedia
Quaint and misleading buzzword du jour that, in reality, means having someone's back doors in, followed by a prompt P45 issuance to whoever has failed to toe the line. This is followed by either the installation of a puppet government that dances to the tune of the door removers, or free and fair elections to let the people decide.
However, it's one of life's little tricks that when the West exports its own particular brand of democracy (usually to those who have little or no concept of it) that the ungrateful bastards end up legitimately (and legally) voting in someone even worse that the cnut that's had his doors off the hinges.
In a nutshell, 'regime change' doesn't have a very good track record and is best avoided.
