Vile anise-flavoured stuff drunk by the French out of tiny glasses as an aperitif. Prior to consumption it is normally mixed with tepid water which gives it a cloudy appearence; this does little to improve the generally rather unpleasant experience.

Drinking it out of a pint glass is particularly not recommended. Not even if you have a handy Great White Telephone.
