More correctly known as the Land Rover 101 Forward Control, this is nothing to do with C2 at the FEBA, but rather refers to the steering wheel and foot controls being forwards of the front wheels. Like any military vehicle, the 1 tonner came in many guises: GS soft-topped 105 tractors, hard-topped signals waggons and ambulance variants.

Also known as the Wayne Turner due to a heavily accented Scottish Tiffy, these vehicles were withdrawn from use in the mid-1990s. They are extremely popular amongst military vehicle 'enthusiasts' as there's enough room in the back for a half-decent kip after a hard day's walting.
