Sometimes controversial drinking haunt in the officers' messes of Regiments with good COs rather than pompous arses who feel that having 'a fellow to deliver ones drinks, to be taken in the ante room' is essential to the military effectiveness of their units.
A large number of rules are generally followed in these bars, such as:
- Wine should be expensive and come in an impressive bottle, rather than taste good.
- After 1am, loud rock music and naked PT should be enjoyed whenever possible.
- Anything may be broken as long as it is paid for.
- Drinking large amounts IS big and IS clever.
- Bullying is to be positively encouraged.
