Happy Ramadan everybody!

Term coined in the late '40s to describe the mushroom-shaped cloud that usally occours when a large bomb, preferably nuclear, has been dropped.

If one should encounter one of these, then one should assume that it's all gone Pete Tong and you should take some appropriate action - like digging a six feet deep slit trench with your teeth in thirty seconds.

You might also wish to take a cursory glance through Survive To Fight.

The term can also be used to describe the water that splashes your arse after crimping off a rather large one.
