Formed in 1999, the Joint NBC Regiment is based at RAF Honington, Suffolk and consists of 1 RTR and 27 Squadron RAF Regiment - supported by two troops from the Royal Yeomanry and 2623 squadron Royal Auxiliary Air Force Regiment.
The unit's title has since been changed to reflect the acronym malaise that abounds and is now the Joint CBRN Regiment... until someone has another great idea and decides to call it something else.
