How to blog
From ARRSEpedia
A Blog means a 'Web-Log'. Simple eh? Just think of it as an on-line diary. More info can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Online_diary
The concept is to create a chain of blogs which fascinate and create interest in the reader. They sit on the edge of their chair, eagerly awaiting the next instalment. I suppose that it's kind of like a soap, except that blogs are far more interesting and have more outrageous plot lines.
Blogs should not be used to make one line statements or random comments. Before you press that 'submit' button, ask yourself these questions:
- Would this be better off in a Thread, on the forums?
- Does this Blog make sense?
- Hav I speel cheeked it?
- Does anyone care?
As with all things in the world, someone has been there and done it before you have. If you want inspiration from some of Arrse's finest Bloggers, then send them a PM, and they will be happy to help. Don't be too scared though, because they don't get out of their darkened rooms much and when they do, it's usually to re-fill their collection of Seven of Nine Porn.
