Herforder Pils is one of the many beers brewed by Herforder Brewery in the town of Herford in Germany. Herford has been the home of many British troops over the last fifty years, and as a garrison town and one time storage and distribution facility for NAAFI, the local brew was adopted by NAAFI for sale throughout BFG. The popularity of the beer, helped by the eye-catching packaging of its very portable ten pack, the Yellow handbag, grew to a point that you couldn't get a Yellow handbag back to the UK without it being recognized by people in the UK.
