Harbour

{n.} a place where ships may shelter from the weather. These may be man made or natural or have started off as natural and then 'improved'.

This is the sort of location where Her Maj's Royal Navy might park their big grey war canoes when they cant be bothered driving them any more.

In theory a harbour should be free of things that might upset a boat like ice, rocks, sandbars or mad Iranians in high speed gunboats although that hasn't stopped the RN from parking their vessels on all of the above and quite a few other hazards in recent years.

May refer to a camping spot... with tents and shit ... not 3 Para Mortar Platoon unless they actually have a tent with them.
