Hangar Queen

Vehicle (originally aircraft) relegated to provision of spare parts to keep other vehicles serviceable. Hangar queens are usually either seriously damaged or particularly unreliable examples. Strictly speaking, the term only applies to vehicles that are intended to be returned to service at some point.
Also referred to as a Christmas Tree, because of the presents it bestows to others.
