Hack It

'Hack it' is a Royal Marine term but widely used in the services (less the RAF where it isn't required) to describe being able to endure difficulties, danger and discomfort without breaking your discipline or otherwise getting a 'mard on'. e.g. "I can/can't hack this!" Scenarios that require the individual to 'hack it' are invariably perceived by others as 'character building'.
