Gong Bong

The ceremonial bonging of the bronze regimental gong captured from the Spanish at the battle of Torremolinos (29th February 1872... or was it 1972?) by 49 Para (formerly the 18/30th Foot). The youngest subaltern in the regiment receives the honour and puttees are reversed and worn inverted throughout the regiment on the 29th.
