Star Wars geek and RPG geek make up after flame war

A Geek War is what you get when one 'tribe' of Geeks finds itself violently (for geeks) at odds with another tribe of Geeks. This 'violent' opposition (consisting entirely of futile arguement and verbal insults) will be done on chat sites and at conventions the world over.

The subject matter for the war is usually something pretty trivial to the rest of humanity but for the geek its life and death ... hmmm, to be honest the geek might risk a Chinese burn rather than death but that's a lot to a geek. Examples of current ongoing geek wars include

  • Lord of the Rings v Star Wars: Which was the best trilogy?
  • Star Trek v Star Wars: Who was harder James T Kirk or Darth Vader
  • Star Trek V Star Trek: This is an example of civil war in geekdom. Who was the better captain - Kirk, Picard, Janeway etc? or Why Romulans are wusses and Klingons are teh hardest and many many other pathetic arguments.
  • Warhammer or Warhammer 40k: Which game rocks most. Another example of geek civil war.
  • Whats best: Dungeons and Dragons or Warhammer role playing games.

Although most geeks should be avoided, Trekkies tend to be the most obnoxious and arrogant of all geeks. Given Star Trek is all made up, little consistency, frequent Deus ex Machina moments and has plot holes you could drive the Death Star through these feckers will argue like its a factual, historic event that cannot be disputed.
