GCSE
From ARRSEpedia
A hasty throw together introduced in 1986 replacing both the O-Level General Certificate of Education (GCE) and the Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE) qualifications - a two-tier system that caused much confusion. Grade C of the GCSE is equivalent to the old O-Level Grade C and CSE Grade 1.
